The Challis Public Library is a city tax-funded library which has been serving the community of Challis for over 50 years. We have a collection of fiction and non-fiction materials of more than 16,000 items. Among our collection, you will also find a wonderful selection of books on Idaho. Additionally, we have over 500 VHS/DVD recordings and 250 audio books and recordings to choose from. We also now offer over 2,600 downloadable audio books!
The Challis Public Library has a public access computing area consisting of four online computers with touchscreen options and one computer which stores our digital catalog.
The Challis Public Library supports our community in many ways, including programs designed to help our community’s youth and adults achieve success in their learning and enjoyment of materials. We offer the children of our community two reading programs that take place during the school year and summer months.
